Vladimir Lenin once said,
“Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialized state.”
Socialists and Communists knew they could not get people to support their brand of tyranny right away though. As Karl Marx explained in the Communist Manifesto, it had to be done like boiling a frog, slowly and one step at a time,
“…in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads… by means of measures, therefore, which appear economically insufficient and untenable, but which, in the course of the movement, outstrip themselves, necessitate further inroads upon the old social order..”
In other words, to get the agenda through, it has to be done piece by piece in ways that people will dismiss as being insignificant.
Sen. Allen Christensen, R-North Ogden, is promoting a plan to implement the “keystone” in the arch of the socialized state in the same way Marx describes. The Deseret News spoke with Senator Christensen and his plan saying,
“Over time, he said, coverage could be extended first to everyone considered medically frail and eventually to all of the 63,000 low-income Utahns who currently don’t receive any assistance under President Barack Obama’s health care law.”
Senator Christensen’s plan would be done one piece at a time to fully bring in Obamacare’s expansion of Medicaid. Recognizing, as Marx did that this cannot be done all at once, saying,
“How many times do you have to get a ‘no’ until you believe it? We have to try a different approach,” Sen. Allen Christensen, R-North Ogden, said. “We need to drop it or start someplace. This is a start someplace.”
Senator Christensen said,
“It’s not going to be a full-blown program. It’s going to be kind of an incremental thing,”
Even if Senator Christensen doesn’t know he is implementing the Marxist plan through Marxist means, the result is the same. A so called Republican bringing us the same results as Democrats who bring us the same results as the socialists and Marxists of Europe.
