122 Utah Church Leaders Pledge Against Tyranny

Pledge against tyranny

THE IMPORTANCE OF CHURCHES

In 2021, I presented on how Church’s led the battle for freedom in the revolutionary era and that we need them again today to defend our country.

FAILURE OF MODERN CHURCHES

In this presentation I also showed how the New World Order is aware of the importance of churches, and they’ve been planning for a long time to control them. There would have been no free America if churches hadn’t preached liberty from the pulpit, and if they were to do the same thing again today, it would be a game changer for freedom.

Instead of hope through major churches and church leaders, we’ve been met with extreme disappointment as we reported in these videos:

REACTION – When the LDS Church Said Vaccines Safe and Effective

It was heart breaking when Utah’s church leaders pushed this message of obedience to the government acting outside of their lawful authority.

THE LITTLE GUY IS TAKING THE LEAD

There’s hope!  While we’ve been sorely disappointed from global churches and major church leaders of all kinds around the country, small churches and local leaders are showing us the possibilities.

122 Utahns signed their name as “Church Leaders” (local LDS leaders, small churches, independent pastors, etc) to the “Acts 5:29 Statement” to defend the US Constitution.

We need this attitude to grow and take the lead in our churches everywhere.  Can we bring in the “new guard” to defending liberty in ways that the current guards are not acting?

Liberty ought to be preached from the pulpit again, just like in the founding era of this country.

The Acts 5:29 Statement

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

During the recent COVID-19 “pandemic,” representatives who were elected to secure our God-given rights, clearly transgressed their lawful authority in executive action that prohibited public meetings or mandated the wearing of masks and “social distancing.” God’s word directs us “not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.” (Hebrews 10:25) This verse is a Divine injunction.

We must obey God rather than the arbitrary decrees of men.

As a national coalition of pastors and churches, we reject any Presidential or gubernatorial decree requiring us to disobey the word of God. We will resist any attempt by a Federal, state or local official to restrict or prohibit the free exercise of our Religion or place restrictions thereon.

The end of all civil government being the good of society, we affirm our submission to lawful civil authority as instituted by God himself; but when rulers exceed the scope of their Constitutional and God-given authority, they act contrary to their office and the public good and effect the ruin and misery of society.

We do not need the permission of civil authorities to obey what God has commanded, nor does the Church need the approval of civil authorities to serve and worship our God in the way he has prescribed.

The Greek word translated Church is “Ekklesia” which means “the Assembly.” Our identity as the Church of Jesus Christ means we are by nature an assembly; we assemble to hear his Word preached, partake of the sacraments, and fellowship with one another. The Apostles’ teachings are unambiguous in this regard.

Civil magistrates have no authority to dictate what churches may do or not do.

The Constitution of the United States is the highest law in our land. In 1803 in Marbury v. Madison, the Supreme Court ruled that “any law repugnant to the Constitution is null and void.”

We are on solid Constitutional footing in our refusal to comply with restrictions on public worship. Again, the First Amendment states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Any law, order, or mandate that infringes our God given right to worship according to conscience, violates the First Amendment and is unlawful.

We the undersigned hereby affirm the preceding statements.

The following from Utah are listed as having signed the declaration.

  1. I don’t get how Dallin H. Oaks can say he’s a believer in the Constitution, but seems okay with anything the US government does. Like he’s incapable of recognizing when the government is violating it, and thinks any exercise of government power is always good and should never be opposed whatsoever. Any infringement on liberty is always somehow fine.

    1. That’s for sure. But you need to understand, Oaks is a slave to the establishment. The last thing an esteemed member of the bar such as Mr. Oaks, and as I have written many times in these pages, the last thing RMN,as an esteemed medical professional, wants is to be out of favor with those of whom they crave acceptance, honor and even adoration. As a lawyer, I think I know how these people operate, whether doctor, lawyer or otherwise. Standing among their peers is paramount.

Oaks and Nelson know that if they take a position against the mainstream of their respective professions they will be ostracized. The last thing Oaks wants is to be labeled a conspiracy theorist and the last thing RMN wants is to be labeled an anti-vaxxer.

    2. 20 years ago, Oaks is doing the same thing. Watch what happens when he takes the role as president.

  2. I am not a church leader in any sense. Does this mean I cannot sign this statement? I have already been largely disfellowshipped; there’s not much more they can do to shut me up.

  3. If asked my church affiliation, I would write “Mormon Church.” I suspect Gordon Hinckley and other past leaders would not object!

Sorry to see none of the Mormons who signed wrote “Mormon Church,” though I saw one as “LDS Church.”

It’s time to take back one of our important brands. Have you looked at the convert baptism numbers? Not sure why they are so bad, but in the late 1980’s there were nearly 600,000 convert baptisms; 2022 about 200,000.

And as I have written before concerning the use of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have pointed out that Joseph Smith said we call it the Melchizedek Priesthood and not the Priesthood After the Order of the Son of God in order to prevent the overuse of the name of Deity. Does not RMN’s edict from 2018 not contradict the Prophet’s direction.

Nevertheless, I am happy to see people willing to put their names on the line with this Statement. This is a start.

  4. Mark Dodds, good synopsis on those 2!

though i’m clear across the Country from Ut, i’ll be found in your corner brother!

the complete feminization of LDS leadership is nauseating, unwilling to take a stand in the name of Christ against the most minute of minority’s……in the true sense of the word, they don’t merit the label of “Mormon”

  5. I have watched over the past 30 years as the Church has changed from openly and strongly supporting the U.S. Constitution as a divinely-inspired document and taking forceful public stands on moral issues to making little or no mention of the document and slowly, but ever more rapidly, embracing the same cultural trends as the rest of society. It is not just COVID. The Church seems susceptible to the same tendencies as any large organization with a strong central-governing body, whether it be governmental, corporate, or religious. Public perception (outward appearance) and the bank account (pieces of silver) have become of paramount importance to the Church. As a faculty member at one of the Church’s institutions of higher learning for nearly 20 years, it was clear that few things were more important than how the Church is perceived by the outside world, hence, I believe, much of the reason for the lack of willingness to take a position that might generate a negative public light. Additionally, having served as a ward clerk, it became clear how important the leadership views its “sacred funds.” The fear to lose tax-exempt status and suffer lawsuits I think is another big factor in why they no longer stand against corrupt policies, including those involving COVID. Finally, many of our leaders, including those in the First Presidency, most likely believed much of the government propaganda and acted out of fear, rather than inspiration, hence presenting an official statement that was worded almost verbatim from CDC statements.

    1. There wasn’t one ounce of revelation in that 12 Aug 2021 letter–not even a smidgen. It was pure CDC/FDA/NIH/Globalist/Gates/WHO/WEF/Schwab/UN propaganda. Don’t be fooled in the upcoming (already started) genocide 2.0. If you were fooled by the propoganda and got the vaxxxxxxxxxxx, you should immediately detox with zeolite, bentonite clay, EDTA, Ivermectin, NAC and high dose IV vitamin C, and glutathione.

  6. It truly gives me much hope in seeing churches come together in presenting the statement and, I might add a reminder of the highest law of the land, that being the Constitution of the United States. Many, if not most, federal, state, and local governments violated the Constitution with their Draconian Covid mandates.
I, too, have been disappointed at the Church’s seeming willingness to go along with this kind of tyranny and, I might add, their current silence on moral issues as well. I also remember when the Church was outspoken about the importance of the Constitution for this country and the Restoration of the Gospel. And I also remember when they were outspoken on moral issues as well. If this country fails and unfortunately, we are well on our way as the Constitution is literally ” hanging by a thread” as we speak, the Church’s ability to progress will be hindered. If we don’t defend the laws inherent in the Constitution, particularly the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion, evil will win. Evil flourishes when good men do nothing.
However, I also believe God will not allow the Gospel to fail. I also believe that he has a plan for the Church and he is in the details. But, that being said, I believe he will intervene at some point. But right now, there is no denying the fact that this country and the Constitution are in deep trouble and we need leaders willing to defend those very principles that made us free to begin with.

    1. Thanks for your thoughts. One thought I strongly believe, God is already trying to intervene by commanding his children to stand for the constitution. We have all the power to influence when things get better. He will never violate agency, so he may be honoring our agency by allowing things to fail as far as we are lazy or choose to remain ignorant.

  7. Thank you for your voices. I have been saddened and puzzled these past 3 years at the compliance shown by all religions. Understanding that Pres. Nelson has spent a lifetime in the medical field, he believes it is good. But bad people have taken over, it’s time for churches to disassociate with political governing agencies, and speak God’s guidance.
